What does an event steward do?
An event steward helps keep people safe at an event. Stewards control entry points, check tickets, guide crowds, keep walkways and exits clear, and give visitors directions and help. They are often the first to spot overcrowding, a medical problem or a safety risk and report it to event control.
Stewards are different from door supervisors. Where a role involves searching people or refusing entry for security reasons, a licensed door supervisor may be needed, and we can advise on the right mix for your event.
